- Price
- Under $30,000 is the target. Elon Musk’s on-record figure from the October 2024 unveil, repeated in February 2026. Tesla has never published a price or a configurator.
- Production
- Started. The first production Cybercab left the Giga Texas line on February 17, 2026; continuous production began in April. Tesla has not disclosed a build rate.
- Can you order?
- Not yet. As of September 4, 2026 Tesla has no Cybercab order page, reservation, or waitlist. Any deposit list that isn’t Tesla’s is someone else’s list.
- Deliveries
- No date. Musk said “this year” in February; on July 22 Tesla said it no longer expects volume production in 2026. Reporting points to 2027 at the earliest.
- September 3 event
- No price, no order date. Tesla showed the Cybercab to a private audience in Austin on September 3 and began public Cybercab rides in its own Austin robotaxi fleet. It did not publish a price, open ordering, or name a delivery date. When any of those change, this page and your alert email will say so.

What DockDuty does
A Cybercab has two seats, no steering wheel, and no pedals. It is not a car you drive. It is a car you send to work, and between rides it needs a place to park, charge, get cleaned, and get dispatched again. DockDuty is building that place. You own the car. We plan to run the depot work so it can earn on Tesla's robotaxi network without you living near it.
How ownership would work
- You buy the Cybercab directly from Tesla when ordering opens. The title stays in your name.
- You keep ownership. Your car, your asset, watched from your phone wherever you live.
- DockDuty operates the vehicle from its depot under the available service terms: parking, charging, cleaning, and dispatch coordination.
To be plain about the boundaries: DockDuty does not order the car for you, does not control Tesla's allocation, and cannot guarantee network eligibility. No customer Cybercab is operating through DockDuty today.

The stall, explained
Depot #1 is targeted to open in Greater Orlando in Q4 2026 with 50 founding stalls, all of them now reserved. A stall is a reserved operations slot for one Cybercab: its parking, charging, cleaning, and dispatch coordination. It is DockDuty infrastructure. It is not a place in Tesla's vehicle queue.

Capacity that opens next — a founding stall freed by a refund, or the next depot — sells at our standard rates. The deposit is still $450 per stall, fully refundable until the car is onboarded. The order book is public, so you can see exactly where the 50 stalls stand.
Own from anywhere. The car earns at the depot; you do not have to live in Florida, or in the US.

What is not resolved
- Tesla has not published the launch date, eligibility rules, revenue split, or final operating requirements for owner participation.
- Public Cybercab ordering is not open, and no consumer delivery date is confirmed.
- DockDuty has not signed a depot lease yet; Orlando Q4 2026 is a target, not a promise.
- No customer Cybercab is earning through DockDuty today.
Frequently asked questions
Can DockDuty sell me a Cybercab, or get me one faster?
No. Only Tesla can sell you the car, and Tesla has not opened public ordering. DockDuty does not order cars, does not control Tesla's allocation, and cannot promise network eligibility. What we sell is depot infrastructure and operations for the car you will buy from Tesla.
What exactly does the $450 deposit reserve?
One stall: a numbered operations slot at depot #1, targeted for Greater Orlando in Q4 2026. The 50 founding stalls are fully reserved, so the next stall sold — a founding stall freed by a refund, or capacity at the next depot — is at standard rates. The deposit is fully refundable until the car is onboarded, and the order book is public. It is a place in DockDuty's book, not in Tesla's.
How much could a Cybercab make?
Nobody has fleet-scale Cybercab earnings history yet, including us, so every number anyone quotes is a projection. That is exactly why the calculator exists: set your own assumptions, see the full fee math, and stress the pessimistic case before the optimistic one.
Do I have to live in Orlando, or in Florida?
No. The point of a depot is that the car lives where it works. Owners watch their car from the dashboard wherever they live, in another state or another country.
When will Tesla let owners put cars on the network?
Tesla has described owner-supplied vehicles and revenue sharing as part of its future Robotaxi model, including in its 2025 proxy statement. The launch date, eligibility rules, revenue split, and operating requirements are unpublished. That is the open risk, and we would rather name it than bury it. When public ordering opens, you will get one email from us.
Hear it the day it happens
