Cybercab earnings calculator.
How much can a Cybercab make? Same model as the homepage calculator — Tesla’s stated ~$0.20/mi long-term Cybercab operating-cost target, scaled by utilization. Change cab count, utilization, and financing; monthly gross, fees, and take-home update live.
Every output is a projection, not a guarantee. Nobody has fleet-scale Cybercab earnings history yet — including us.
Your assumptions
1–2 cab standard rate · $550/stall · 15% per ride
Same scale as the homepage. 65% is the default we quote ($1,780 financed / $2,380 cash per cab).
Matches the homepage: ~$30K Cybercab target price, ~$594/mo if financed. Cash drops that line.

How this is calculated: Rider revenue is $3,854 per cab per month at 65% utilization, scaled linearly with utilization, from Tesla’s stated ~$0.20/mi long-term Cybercab operating-cost target. Your fleet size then sets the rate: we take 15% / 15% / 13% / 11% and a $450 / $400 / $375 / $350 monthly retainer per stall at 1–2, 3–4, 5–6 and 7+ cabs. Remaining overhead is insurance $400 + financing $594 if applicable + misc $50 per cab. A single financed cab therefore shows $1,494 of overhead and $1,782 take-home, unchanged from before this page applied the tiers. Figures rounded to whole dollars.
What drives these numbers
This page uses the same model as the homepage: Tesla’s stated ~$0.20/mi long-term Cybercab operating-cost target at 65% utilization yields $3,276 net per cab per month after our 15% fee, then scales linearly if you move utilization. Charging sits inside that ~$0.20/mi target. Where that number comes from: Elon Musk stated it at Tesla’s October 10, 2024 “We, Robot” Cybercab reveal as a long-term goal. It is a forward-looking Tesla statement, not measured fleet performance. Tesla’s Q3 2024 shareholder deck (filed with the SEC on October 23, 2024) confirms the event and describes the same goal as “a cost per mile below rideshare, personal car ownership and even public transit,” without stating a figure — and no Tesla SEC filing states $0.20. DockDuty uses it as a modeling assumption only; actual operating costs could differ materially.
The dependency this projection rests on. Tesla has publicly described a future Robotaxi model in which Tesla owners may make personally owned vehicles available to the network and share in the generated income — stated in its 2025 proxy statement, in conditional terms. Customer-owned vehicles cannot join Robotaxi today, and final eligibility, onboarding, insurance, revenue-sharing terms and timing have not been published. Every number on this page assumes that program launches under commercially workable terms. It is a projection, not a Tesla-guaranteed earnings figure.
Fleet size applies the real contractual tier, so the retainer and per-ride cut both drop at 3, 5 and 7 cabs exactly as the pricing table above states. Until 2026-08-23 this page used the 1–2 cab rate at every fleet size and called that conservative; it understated take-home for larger fleets and disagreed with our own price list, so it was corrected.
Two costs sit on the owner's side under every management model, so the calculator breaks them out separately: commercial AV insurance (early quotes for autonomous commercial coverage are running roughly $400–800 per month per vehicle) and financing, if you don't pay cash. And because DockDuty is an own-from-anywhere platform, none of this math requires you to live near the depot — or even in the country. Your car will earn at the depot in Greater Orlando while you watch it from another state or another continent; the car and its paperwork stay stateside, and the dashboard works wherever you are.
Frequently asked questions
How much can a Tesla Cybercab make per day?
This calculator uses Tesla’s stated ~$0.20/mi long-term Cybercab operating-cost target from its October 2024 “We, Robot” presentation (same model as dockduty.com), not a raw $/day slider. That figure is a forward-looking Tesla statement, not measured fleet performance, and DockDuty uses it as a modeling assumption. Public $/day estimates elsewhere cluster around $70–150 typical and $200–400 at high utilization — projections, not measured Cybercab results.
What does DockDuty charge Cybercab owners?
A monthly retainer per stall that scales with fleet size — on the standard schedule, $550 for 1–2 cabs, $525 for 3–4, $500 for 5–6, and $475 for 7 or more — plus a per-ride service cut of 15%, 15%, 14%, and 13% respectively. The 50 founding stalls, which carried lower founding rates ($450/$400/$375/$350 and 15/15/13/11%), are fully reserved. Reserving a stall when one opens costs $450, fully refundable until your Cybercab is onboarded, and it credits in full against the $1,000 onboarding fee, leaving a $550 balance at intake. Owner-side costs such as commercial AV insurance and financing are separate under every management model.
Are the numbers in this calculator guaranteed?
No. Every figure this calculator produces is a projection built on public estimates. Nobody — not DockDuty, not anyone — has fleet-scale Cybercab earnings history yet, so no one can guarantee robotaxi income. Use the calculator to compare scenarios and understand fee structures, not as a promise of what your car will earn.

Depot #1 is targeted to open in Greater Orlando in Q4 2026. Its 50 founding stalls are fully reserved; capacity that opens next sells at the standard rates modeled above, with the same $450 deposit — fully refundable until your Cybercab is onboarded, and credited in full against the $1,000 onboarding fee.
Own from anywhere — another state or another country. The car earns at the depot; you don't have to live in Florida, or even in the US.
