Future individual owner
Planning a first Cybercab and wondering where it would live, what it would cost each month and what you would still handle yourself.
Ask about one vehicleFor future Cybercab owners
DockDuty is planning independent depots where privately owned autonomous vehicles park, charge and get cleaned between rides. Tell us your plans and a founder will reply personally.
Free inquiry. No reservation or deposit required.
The part after you buy
Even when the car does the driving, the physical work does not go away. These are the needs owners ask us about most.
Charging
Cybercabs seen so far charge on DC only, through a NACS port, so a home wall connector (which supplies AC) cannot charge one. The details.
Parking
A place to wait between rides and overnight, close to where the riders are.
Cleaning
An interior reset after riders: wipe-down, trash and items left behind.
Inspection
Eyes on tires, body damage and cameras before the car goes back out.
Downtime
Somewhere to sit through repairs, software updates and slow hours.
Access and handoffs
A person on hand when a vehicle has to be delivered, serviced or towed.
Incident response
Someone reachable when a rider leaves something behind or a car gets stuck.
These are planning considerations drawn from how shared vehicles work today. Tesla has publicly described owner-supplied vehicles and revenue sharing as part of its future Robotaxi model, but the program is not live and its eligibility and terms are unpublished.
The planned DockDuty model
Bought by you and titled in your name. You watch it from your phone, wherever you live.
An assigned stall where it parks between rides and overnight.
DC charging, an interior reset and a check before it leaves.
Released ready for its next ride, with the visit recorded for you.
Steps 2 to 4 repeat between rides
ProposedThis is the service model DockDuty is working toward. No DockDuty depot is operating yet, and no client vehicle is on site.
Who this is for
Short version for owners: Cybercab fleet management, from an independent company.
1 vehicle
Planning a first Cybercab and wondering where it would live, what it would cost each month and what you would still handle yourself.
Ask about one vehicle2 to 9 vehicles
Considering several vehicles. Monthly stall pricing steps down as a fleet grows, and charging capacity and scheduling start to matter.
Ask about several vehicles10+ vehicles
Exploring a larger footprint or more than one metro. These conversations go straight to a founder, starting with capacity, timing and which markets come first.
Request a founder conversationFree fleet inquiry
It takes about a minute. A founder reads every inquiry and replies personally, with straight answers about markets, timing and costs, including what is not decided yet.
A founder will read it and reply by email.
While you wait, you can open the owner dashboard demo. No login.
Where DockDuty actually stands
Not true today: no DockDuty depot is operating, no client vehicle is on site or earning through DockDuty, and Tesla has not launched a program for owner-supplied vehicles. Tesla has described the concept, including in its 2025 proxy statement, but has published no eligibility, revenue-split or timing terms.
Common questions
No. Most people who write to us are still planning, and that is the right time to ask. You can tell us you are only researching.
No. An inquiry reserves nothing. Reserving a stall is a separate step, a $450 deposit per stall that is refundable until the vehicle is onboarded, and only if and when you decide to.
No. There is no fee, no card and no account. You will not be added to a mailing list unless you tick the box on the form.
Orlando is our lead market, with its depot targeted for Q4 2026 or Q1 2027. We are planning locations in several more metros at the same time, including depots in Miami and Tampa Bay, with no site, lease or date yet for those. Tell us your market either way: owner interest is part of how we plan where to go.
No. DockDuty is an independent company. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or partnered with Tesla, Inc.; “Tesla” and “Cybercab” are trademarks of Tesla, Inc., used here for descriptive reference only. We plan to serve vehicles that owners buy and hold themselves.
Not yet. No DockDuty depot is operating and no depot lease is signed. What exists today is the software: the owner dashboard, the reservation system and the published owner agreement.
Pick the commercial fleet option on the form and give a rough count. A founder handles those conversations directly, including capacity, timing and how several markets would work.
Tell us what you are planning and a founder will reply. Nothing to pay, nothing reserved.
