How to choose a Cybercab depot operator
The short answer
We know of no depot for privately owned Cybercabs operating as of October 29, 2026; DockDuty’s is not open. Tesla has not published terms that we have found for owner cars to join its Robotaxi network. So the best operator for a fleet owner today is the one whose terms you can check before you pay: a registered legal entity, a published rate card, a contract you can read before checkout, a deposit you can get back, and a plain statement of what is built and what is not.
Below are ten criteria that apply to any operator, followed by where DockDuty stands on each. Every DockDuty answer links to the page where you can check it.
The checklist: 10 things to compare
| # | What to check | Why it matters | Where DockDuty stands (Oct 29, 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Registered legal entity you can look up | You are signing a contract. You need a counterparty that exists in a state registry. | DOCK DUTY LLC, Florida, document no. L26000247958. About |
| 2 | Site status: is a depot open, is a lease signed? | A rendering is not a depot. Ask for the address, lease status and opening target in writing. | No depot is open and no lease is signed. Orlando is our lead market, with its depot targeted for Q4 2026 or Q1 2027. We’re planning locations in several more metros at the same time. A target is not a promise. Orlando |
| 3 | Markets and how they are sequenced | A depot only helps if it is where your cars will run. | Orlando is our lead market, with its depot targeted for Q4 2026 or Q1 2027. We’re planning locations in several more metros at the same time. No site, lease or date yet. Reservations can name any listed metro. Network |
| 4 | Published pricing, per stall and per ride | Unpublished terms are hard to compare and easy to change. | Published Priority rate card: $475 to $550 per stall per month plus a 13% to 15% service fee on completed rides, by fleet size. Nothing is charged monthly until a vehicle is onboarded at an operating depot. Pricing · pricing.json |
| 5 | Deposit terms, in days and conditions, not adjectives | “Refundable” can mean 48 hours minus a fee. Read the actual clause. | $450 Priority deposit per stall, refundable in full at your request any time before your vehicle is onboarded, no reason required. It holds a stall, not a car, and it is not an investment. It is credited against the $1,000 onboarding fee. Pricing |
| 6 | Who holds title to the car | Some models pool vehicles or sell fund interests. Know what you own. | You keep the title. DockDuty rents you a stall and will run the car’s between-ride operations once a depot opens. Home |
| 7 | Contract readable before payment | You should see every clause before you pay, not in a welcome email after. | The reserve form shows the full Reservation Agreement text, and you sign it before the payment step. Reserve page |
| 8 | Service scope, in writing | A depot that skips a job pushes it back onto you. | Planned scope: assigned stall, DC charging, cleaning, staging, dispatch coordination (the ride network dispatches trips), maintenance coordination, incident response and monthly reporting. DockDuty’s own insurance is to be bound before the depot takes in any vehicle. What happens at a Cybercab depot |
| 9 | Incident response window and charging design | Cybercabs seen so far charge DC only through a NACS port. Ask how the site charges and who answers at 2 a.m. | Planned: DC charging at every stall, and 24-hour incident response. Charging |
| 10 | What you can see, today | Software you can open now tells you more than a roadmap. | The owner dashboard has a public demo you can open with no login or card. No client car is earning yet; every earnings figure on the site is a labeled projection. Demo |

Red flags when comparing operators
- Earnings stated as a monthly figure with no projection label.
- A depot described in the present tense with no address, lease or opening target.
- Deposits that are refundable only if a third party misses a date, or only within a short window.
- No legal entity named on the terms or privacy pages.
- Fund interests or pooled vehicles sold as if they were a stall reservation.
Three ways to have a Cybercab run for you
Owners usually choose between a full-service manager (you hand over the car and receive a statement), a depot operator (you rent a stall at a lot that charges, cleans and stages the car) or software that lets you dispatch local providers yourself. DockDuty is a depot operator with an owner dashboard. What a third-party Cybercab depot is
